Hi Everyone! My name is WiFi and I am looking for my perfect forever family. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I am a 6 month old lab mix (my foster mom thinks I’m mixed with a Shar Pei) and I am currently about 35 pounds. I came up to Minnesota all the way from Louisiana to have a better chance at finding my forever family. My foster mom says that, for my age, I am a “pretty chill dude”. I’m not a very wild puppy (which she likes) and I don’t bark much. I can also do tricks! I know how to sit, shake, lay down, and high five!
I am fully potty trained as long as I am let out on a regular basis and I am also fully crate trained. I go in there when my foster mom goes to work (she’s gone for about 8-9 hours a day). All you have to do to get me in there is to tell me to kennel up give me a treat once I am in there (because I LOVE treats! ).
My foster mom lets me sleep in her bed at night and I do very well! I will claim a spot on the bed as my own and sleep all night until her alarm goes off in the morning. There is even a dog bed in there that I will sleep on most nights so I can stretch out and not be bothered by anyone.
When I meet new people I am a little shy at first, but I warm up pretty quick. I do well with people of all ages, but when I first meet little kids and they come right up to my face, I get a little scared and will bark at them (because who likes it when someone you don't know comes right up in your face?). Once they back up and let me smell them, I am perfectly fine. So if there are any kids in my forever home, we should have proper intros and they should be respectful with me.
I get along well with other dogs and cats (I currently live with both), but I like to chase the cats sometimes, so dog savvy cats would be best for everyone’s sake. I also like to eat cat poop. So if there are cats in my forever home, you should make sure I can’t get to the litter box.
Now that you know all the wonderful things about me, I should probably tell you about my bad habits (because we all have them). I like to chew on things I’m not supposed to (like blankets, pillows, shoes, and anything else I can find laying around the house). I’ve been known to ruin a pair of shoes or 2. So you should probably put them where I can’t get them. I am getting a lot better at not doing it (because I get in trouble when I do) and my foster mom makes sure I have chew toys around to keep me busy.
I also like to beg for food (I’m a pro at it!). But who can blame me, it just smells so good!!!
