Adopt a Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Bailey. She is a big lover who is extremely loyal and just wants to please. Bailey came to us from a shelter in Arkansas and is looking for a new forever home.  

Bailey gets along well with all dogs - big, medium and small. She is very playful. This big girl’s best friend is a little Shitzu who she adores. Bailey is also good with cats.

Bailey loves kids! She is very good and very trust worthy with them. However, she is timid of men.

Bailey is also extremely smart. She wants to do what you tell her to do. She does tend to get excited though and wants to jump. But, she has been taught the command “off” and when you tell her "off" she will stop her jumping. Bailey currently knows the commands sit, down, off and is she is working on stay. She enjoys learning and would like a family that will continue to work with her on basic commands and crate training.

Bailey is a young, high energy girl who would love a family that can provide her with a lot of exercise. Anyone adopting Bailey should plan on providing daily exercise for this active youngster. Bailey will need a home with a fenced in yard. Because of her high energy level she would not do well being crated during the day and must go to a home that can allow her some freedom to roam the house (or at least an entire room like a kitchen) while the family is away.

Bailey must have a confident, loving leader as an owner. She needs someone who will give her the confidence that she needs - especially when it comes to men. Bailey shows no aggression towards men, only some fearfulness. Somewhere along the way this wonderful girl had some bad interactions with men and it has stuck with her. An experienced dog owner, willing to take her to obedience training, is needed to give Bailey the guidance she needs.

Bailey does need little bit of work on her potty training. She does pretty well and will learn quickly once she is in a home with a routine.

Bailey is still young and tends to be mouthy – kind of like a baby that chews and puts everything into his mouth. Bailey uses her mouth to tell you "I want to play” or “I want your attention”.  To help her with this her trainer provides her with things to chew. Anyone adopting Bailey will need to provide her with lots of bones to chew on. She especially loves bone knuckles, antlers, and nylabone healthy edibles bacon flavors. Yum!

Bailey is prong trained and walks and listens very well while she is wearing it. Bailey's trainer will show a new owner the proper way to use a prong collar. Her trainer will also provide a free training session with any new owner to show them the best way to work with Bailey.

Bailey is a sweet girl and has no aggression issues with toys, food or other dogs. She would love an active home with small children. Bailey must go to a home with another young, active dog to give her guideance, playtime and confidence. She loves to go for walks which are a great way to help her become more confident when meeting new people. She also loves dog parks.

Bailey is a wonderful dog who just wants to be played with and loved.
