Venus the Dog needs a home
Part of the reason why we think Venus is so stinking cute is she sort of resembles a red panda! This Shiba Inu/Cattle dog mix captures the hearts of volunteers with a combination of her good looks and friendly personality. Venus is a Soi Dog rescued from the illegal dog meat trade in Southeast Asia by Soi Dog Foundation, our partner rescue based in Thailand. She and a group of her friends traveled from the SDF facility in Phuket and were flown stateside to The Barking Lot in November 2017. Venus gets along well with other dogs and is always open to meeting new humans. Though a compact height, Venus has a slightly thicker and stockier build compared to the rest of her friends. She is a little over 5 years old and weighs about 35-40 pounds. A combination of her breeds, Venus is both independent and charming, as well as intelligent and engaging.
