Adopt a Pomeranian / Poodle (T-Cup) / Mixed (medium coat)

SO EASY TO LOVE! Adorable Rufus (aka Roo) is a gentle, good natured, 9-year-old, 14 lb, Pomeranian mix, who just wants to cuddle. Rufus was a stray and is partially deaf. When he arrived at the home of his Foster Mom, Rufus was fearful. He would cower and hide when his Foster Mom or her easy-going dog came close. With patience and love, Rufus began to trust. In only a few days, Rufus was snuggled beside his foster Mom and playing happily with her dog.

Rufus is now Mr. Social Butterfly, excited to meet new people and other dogs, big or small. He loves his walkies, but must remain on leash as his hearing is diminished and cannot hear oral commands. In the park, if Rufus sees someone/something of interest, he’ll make a bee line - so its crucial he stay on lead.

Rufus is a joyful boy who is the perfect lap dog – always first in line for tummy rubs. He sleeps on the bed beside his Foster Mom, in his own dog bed, or on the couch – whatever makes him feel content in the moment. Rufus goes with flow.

Rufus will never refuse a meal and has no food issues. Rufus is housetrained, but will also use a pee pad. Rufus cannot navigate steep stairs so a home with few stairs or an apartment/condo is best. Rufus loves car rides and is comfortable in all social situations – except an environment that’s rambunctious or chaotic. He’ll run for cover. Rufus is best in a calm, stress free, relaxed environment.  

Healthy and happy, Rufus has the occasional environmental allergy, easily remedied with a half Benadryl when needed. Rufus got an A+ report from the veterinarian and is having his dental cleaning on November 16^th.

·        Mature, experienced dog owners, with or without another friendly dog.
