Adopt a Great Pyrenees / Maremma Sheepdog / Mixed (medium coat)
Snow Angel in OH - new! the Dog needs a home
Children in the home must be at least 6 years old.
Previous dog experience is required, preferably large breed.
Female Great Pyrenees rarely cohabitate with other females successfully. Our goal is for each adoption to be a permanent placement, therefore homes that already have a female dog are not eligible to adopt a female Pyr.
Meet Snow Angel! She`s a Pyrenees/Maremma Sheepdog mix and came into rescue as one of six pups known as the “Ky 6”. She was very under socialized along with her brother and sisters but has really come a long way. Angel is a great name for her because she`s as sweet and gentle as they come. She is however, a very curious girl that loves to investigate everything! She`s discovered she can redesign her kennel by choosing her linens, stock up on treats that she finds and hide them for later. She likes to think of it as helping :) She has a whimsical expression that will leave you breathless. If you`re looking for a sweet, lovable and adventurous girl, this is it! She will need a parent that will be dedicated to her training (she already ‘sits’) and teaching her about living in a house. Just wait, you`re about to fall in love!

About Us: National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a shelter. We are a not-for-profit, tax-exempt coalition of Pyr rescuers and rescue groups. We save Pyrs and Pyr mixes across the country and place them in approved foster homes so we know how they will interact with
your
family. Please consider adopting or fostering. Every dog who is fostered or adopted makes room for another Pyr coming out of a kill shelter. Prior to adoption, NGPR dogs are fostered for a minimum of two weeks (usually more), spayed or neutered and fully vetted. Dogs coming from out of area are certified with a USDA health certificate before going to their new homes. Our rescuers adhere to the highest placement standards and will take back any dog whose adoption does not succeed. Visit www.nationalpyr.org to learn more about us, our mission and our breed.
