Papa is sweet and soft with a gentle demeanor. When meeting a new person he likes to hang back for a moment and check things out before calmly approaching to say hello. Give him a minute and he will approach with a soft wag and gentle nuzzle. Easy to collar and walk, Papa likes to amble along at a moderate pace, taking time to sniff all the scents left behind by others on the path. A reserved gentleman, Papa takes treats softly using only his lips and likes to lean against his person for pets and rubs. There is a vulnerability about Papa, clearly uncertain in his current surroundings but gaining confidence daily with the care of our staff and volunteers. Papa attends weekly training classes from BADRAP.org with a volunteer handler and can continue for FREE with his adopter after going home. We think you’ll agree that Papa’s a prize — come meet him and see!
