Cabazon the Dog needs a home

Cabazon is a 1 year old pointer mix. About 60 lbs. He was rescued from a shelter not long ago. He's a gentle giant and loves getting cuddles. But he is a big young dog, and has a lot of energy! He does well with his small dog friends- one of our smallest dogs was Cabazon's best friend before being adopted.  His main issue we've seen is that he can be territorial, and may not like it when new dogs come into his territory.


He's had his shots, is microchipped, has been neutered, and is ready for his new home!


We're not sure of his breed/mix - The shelter called him a pit bull mix- legs a bit short; his head, though big, is not that of a pitbull - ears are placed more forward.  From his lying down photo, we would not say "pit" - whatever he is, very sweet and loving - ignores barking little dogs completely.


His favorite thing is to get a head massage!  Would be ideal for a retired single or couple who have a relaxed lifestyle, sit on the couch or patio and rub this guy's huge head!  Hey, maybe he's a Genie!  It's sure worth some tries - relaxing for everyone.  Good emotional support dog...xoxo

 fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.  




The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs!  

No more weekend mobiles—only special events. Maybe if there are enuff appointments, we could see you in 

El Monte or Orange County or nearby. Email your application and ask for more details!
