Adopt a Boxer (short coat)
Bennie the Dog needs a home
Bennie is a handsome boy with a sweet and playful spirit that is about 4 years old and weighs around 65lbs. He is a beautiful Brindle color with a black mask.
He came to us from SEAACA after his owner had passed away. He was pretty stressed out being in the shelter and we have since learned he can be an anxious boy, especially when his human is gone. You see Bennie has separation anxiety and because of this, he really needs his human to be home with him more times than not. When not able to be with Bennie, he will need a safe space such as a dog run to hang out in. Dogs with separation anxiety generally do not do well crated and therefore we suggest not crating him.
Bennie would probably do best as an only dog as he is a ham that loves all of the attention he can get. He seems to get along with other dogs but can be dog selective.
Bennie walks really well on leash and does know the sit command. Bennie hasn’t met a treat that he doesn’t like and he will happily sit for you over and over to get one. He has a little growl that is very cute and it means anything from more treats to play with me. He is the perfect mix of being silly and fun to just chilling and wanting to cuddle up in your lap.
Won’t you consider adopting Bennie? If you’d like to give this old soul and young spirit the loving home he wants and deserves, please read about our adoption process and fill out an application. Once the application is received one of our volunteers will contact you: http://www.westcoastboxerrescue.org/adopt/.
Thank you for considering rescue dogs, and we look forward to working with you.
