Adopt a Golden Retriever / Corgi / Mixed (medium coat)
Babe the Dog needs a home
OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old.
Babe is a dog surrendered by her owners after they realized at 90 years of age that they could not care for her any longer. Babe, formerly known as Baby, has been an outside dog her entire life producing litter after litter of puppies then ended up on the street along with the countless other dogs around my community. However, Babe has a great shot now for a better life. She’s a Golden Retri
ever/Corgi Mix. She’s a little low rider.
She’s very sweet but very shy, right now. She’s very much a flight risk since all her life she's been outside and/or on the streets. She’s doing better on the leash but I highly recommend always keeping her on a leash even in the yard when you take her out to potty until she's trustworthy. She’s been through a major life change from getting spayed to waking up in a unknown place and now getting to know what living as an inside dog is all about. She’s a very low maintenance dog right now, she likes staying in her crate even though is fully open, she gets up and wanders around until she gets spooked by something and goes back to her crate. She’s not a barker or a chewer. She’s been a quiet guest in my house since she came over. She’s potty trained, and she knows how to sit and shake. She’s not interested in anything these days but chicken and walks. During her walks she should be kept on a non slip leash as she likes to try her luck to run away. She loves being petted. I usually sit down with her to give her some belly rubs several times a day.
She will be a great addition to a family and that family will be so lucky to have her. She just needs a little bit more time to learn that she’s not in any danger and that we mean the best for her. She slowly is coming around for sure!
With some love and lots and lots of patience this girl will be the best addition to one lucky family out there.
Babe is a Female Golden Retriever / Corgi Mix that we estimate to be around 4 years old and weighs 35 lbs.
PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org
SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one’s pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian.
