Adopt a Brittany / Border Collie / Mixed (medium coat)
NY/Lexi the Dog needs a home
Lexi is a sweet, loving lady being fostered in Rochester, NY seeking her forever home. Originally pulled from a shelter, she is a spayed female mix who weighs 40 pounds, and is liver and white, and estimated to be at least 8 years old. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, Heartworm negative, on preventatives, and generally healthy. She has some urinary leakage from being spayed, but it is well controlled on vet prescribed medication given every third day. She has not played with toys yet. Lexi is very people friendly, loves attention, happily sits on your lap, and eager to please. She will follow you everywhere and enjoys riding in the back seat of the car. She is not a jumper or a licker. Some cats are considered prey by her, so no cats or small pets please. Other dogs would likely be her friend. Lexi is fine left free roaming in the house/ Most of her free time inside is spent laying on the couch or looking out a window. When outside, she loves chasing squirrels, sniffing out chipmunks, and walking in the neighborhood, preferably on a harness as she pulls when excited. She sleeps in her crate at night without any fuss and will only give a little bark when it's time to get up. Lexi requires a 6' high physically fenced secured yard as she can jump a lower fence.
