I'm Juniper and I hope you can help me find a home. I once had a home but somehow I went astray. I ended up living in a woodsy neighborhood where my pretty brown tabby stripes blended right in in with the trees. I tried really hard to catch enough food. But it's hard for a cat who's not used to hunting. And it's especially hard for a cat who is missing all of her front claws.
One day I was approached by a person when I stopped to take a drink from a dirty puddle. It was hot out, and I was tired so I agreed to go with her. Now I get all the good food I need served to me on a plate, which is how it should be for a cat like me. But I still need a home where I have room to roam.
I'm a social girl who will sometimes want to sit by your side, if not right in your lap. But I'm independent too and like doing what I want and having space to run and explore. I'm not necessarily the cuddly kind, but I am entertaining. I do funny things all the time. I'll sometimes bat toy mice around... but not if you're looking. I wouldn't mind catching the real thing now and then. I love, love, love boxes.
I do need to live with understanding people, because like many cats that have been declawed, I can sometimes feel on edge and defenseless so sometimes I nip. And after spending some time alone out in the elements, loud noises make me hide. I'll need you to be patient with me while I settle into a new environment and bond with you. These things take time.
