Adopt a Boxer / Pointer (short coat)
Marty the Dog needs a home
Update: Marty has been working with a trainer and we are even more confident he is a good boy! We are certain he would be a loving addition to an active family who can keep him busy and make him think! He deserves that after being dumped by some fake family who he loved very much. He sat on the side of the road waiting for them for days. Some coworkers on their commute pulled over to check on him and started to feed him daily but none of them could offer him a home. When Marty never left to return home, the nice men contacted a rescue friend who checked him for a chip and took him into foster. Marty was neutered, dewormed, vaccinated and microchipped in rescue care. He loves walks and his fosters. He rides great in a car too! Marty got to try out one family and their kids were scared of him. He's a ball of energy and can be scary due to his size. Once returned to rescue, Marty still exhibits no foul behavior. He is a puppy in behavior that's all. We think he deserves another chance. We think he is smart enough to know a happy heart and can sense anxiety and fear in others, and may be reactive to that uncertain energy. Nonetheless, we want a family for him -- the right family. A family who has great energy and love in their hearts for each other and him. All family members are required to attend a meet & greet with Marty as well as any other dogs in the family. He's very reactive to cats who walk by, so a home with cats will need to be catified! Because we are foster-based, meet and greets are only scheduled by appointment once an application has been approved. We think this is fair to the fosters so each meet and greet has the potential to result in an adoption. An application can be found on our website or you can email us and one will be emailed to you.
