Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Tortoiseshell

Domestic Short Hair / Tortoiseshell Cat

Autumn the Cat needs a home

Courtesy Post

Autumn, a tortoise shell cat, was recently abandoned by one of our neighbors.  She was an outdoor cat and for about a week people in our apartment complex would feed her when possible.  Due to coyotes and the inclement weather, we asked and received permission from her previous owner to take her in.

We are guessing that Autumn is about a year old and know that she has already had one litter of kittens.  Since we took her in we have gotten her spayed, micro chipped, vaccinated against rabies, FVRCP, and FeLV.  She also tested negative for FeLV and FIV.

As for her personality, she is a very sweet cat.  We think she will do best as an only pet, as she has snot gotten along well with our two cats.  Our cats tolerate being in the same room as her but are nowhere near comfortable enough to play with Autumn.  When alone, she is calm and well behaved.  Autumn is not destructive (i.e., does not destroy furniture, electronics, decorations, etc.) and does not try running for the door.  She seems content being an indoor cat and when she does have a burst of energy, she is pretty self sufficient and entertains herself.  However, she does enjoy human interaction when it comes to pets, play, and when it is time for sleep.  As a bonus, Autumn is pretty good when it comes to clipping her nails.

We just want Autumn to find a good home.
