Dachshund / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Sussy the Dog needs a home

Heartworm Prevention is given on the 20th of each month

UPDATE:

When Sussy came into the rescue she was very sick and scared, but she has come a long way.  She has received all of her vaccinations and treatment for an infection, but still needs to be spayed and sadly is heartworm positive.  She is currently in foster care and is on crate rest  waiting for heartworm treatment to begin.  She should be ready for adoption in 2 to 3 months.

She is a sweet little girl who loves to cuddle in her human’s lap.  She is learning to walk on a leash and loves riding in her stroller.  She wants to run and play but until those darned old worms are gone she has to stay in her crate or play pen.

She is a happy, smart, loving little girl.  Please think about giving this beautiful little girl a forever home.

Sweet Sussy was found on the streets of Austin and taken to the local Animal Shelter.  When her owners did come for her, Rescue was contacted and CTDR stepped up.  Sussy has received all of her vaccinations but will need to be spayed and sadly is heartworm positive and will need to go through treatment.  She should be ready for adoption in a couple of months but please check back on the website for more updates on this little girl.
