Adopt a Hound / Mixed

Steffi came from a shelter in Pine Bluff, AR emaciated with rope scars around her neck, bumps and other abrasions from a flea allergy, and grinded down teeth. Despite whatever situation prompted all that, she was still wagging her tail and very eager to love and make new friends. 

She will thrive in any home situation. 

She is very friendly, she has fallen head over paws for our pup. Haven't tested her with other animals on a leash, but I imagine she will be perfect. She could use some leash training as she does pull quite a bit.

She goes into the crate with a bit of hesitation if food is not involved, does bark and whine a little, but will settle down if in a place she won't be stimulated visually. No accidents in the crate.

She had a few accidents in the beginning but is on an outside regimen every few hours and hasn't had any problems in the last 2 weeks.

She does like to take things away from our dog and eat out of his bowl even with food in hers, but there's not been any aggression or negativity stemmed from it with mine. Obviously something that would require more supervision and exposure to, to know.I love this sweet pea immensely. She's definitely not one you're gonna have a hard time falling in love with. She's very curious and playful, yet can be extremely chill and docile. She does like to gnaw and chew on things she finds, but she just needs to be introduced to the things that are for her. She's a very smart girl and licks things up easily. She's been introduced to the word no and is learning that means to stop doing, but could still use some more work. Ive left her uncrated overnight with boundaries and access to things tho and she's done just fine. I ask whoever gets her, please flood me with photos and updates and pass my info along to her forever, so we can keep in touch. Much love and enjoy!!
