DOG'S DESCRIPTION
The sweet southern belle had a litter of two pups and was an amazing mama to them! Not it's time for Georgia to be the one to get taken care of and pampered. Georgia would do best in a calm setting as she frightens easily. City life would probably not be the best fit for her. She will need a patient owner who can help her overcome her fears and come out of her shell.
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
