Charles the Dog needs a home
“Charlie is My Darling” says an old song. Sadly, this little Charles was no one’s darling. He and a couple of his brothers come from a neglectful, hoarding situation where they were given no love at all.
The good news is that Charles now has a second chance to get his heart’s desire: a real home and family, where he can love and be loved.
Charles is a four-month-old boy, weighing about 15 lbs. He may still have a little growing to do, but will always be medium sized. He loves other dogs, but, because he hasn’t gotten to know any people, he is timid at first. Despite being neglected his whole life, he’s gentle and sweet and he wants to trust.
Charles hasn’t lived in a home, or had any training until now, so, like much younger puppies, he will have to start from the very beginning with obedience and house training. He’s begun crate and leash training but will need to be introduced to living in a house. He will need a home with someone who has the time, desire and sensitivity to train and socialize him. He responds quickly to kind treatment so with patient instruction he will learn and become your special friend.
He has been neutered and is up to date on all his vaccinations.
Once there was a Charlie who was someone’s darling. With time, patience and love, this sweet Charles will be yours.
The fee for adoption is $450. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and transport fees.
