Dachshund / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Kaylie the Dog needs a home

This lovely little lady is Kaylie - a 6 year old dachshund mix.  Unfortunately she was a product of a broken home and had nowhere to go.  Kaylie eye injury when she was surrendered to a local shelter and she was promptly  fixed up so she could feel better!

Kaylie is a sweet girl - she really enjoys belly rubs and cuddle time! She is appears to be housetrained  but please expect accidents as she learns a new house and routine.  Kaylie is leash trained but really loves the freedom of a fenced yard.  And she is crate trained too. Kaylie's eye injury made her leary of fast and sudden movements, she startles when you approach her on that side without giving her notice.  Her foster family always gets her attention and gives her notice when they are going to pick her up or hold her.   But it is very new to her so in time this may dissapate.  Young kids are probably not ideal - teenagers should be fine.  She does take a little time to get used to new people, but once she knows you she loves you.  She is learning about play!  Kaylie likes to sit next to you as you watch TV or read a book - a perfect couch potato!

Kaylie is now spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg for heartworm.  She has had an eye enuculated.  Her adoption fee is $350 so please apply online if you are interested in making Kaylie your winter snuggle bug!
