Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Tortoiseshell (short coat)
Tess the Cat needs a home
Name: Tess
Gender: Female
DOB: September 2017
Description: Tortie
TESS is a gorgeous tortoiseshell with super soft fur. She is an affectionate girl who loves people. Tess is curious, at ease exploring and meeting new people, and has an adorable, tiny mew. She must be adopted with her buddy, Tara.
Tess has an easy-going temperament and medium energy level when playing. She is good at entertaining herself with a little pompom or catnip squirrel. While she likes playing with her brothers, Blaze and Dos, she is a little more cautious and the boys are a little too rough for her. But she does like to climb on your shoulders! Tess is also a lap kitten who loves napping in a pile on her foster parents along with her brothers.
Tess is super affectionate and wants to be really close to you - nuzzling with you to be petted and sleeping under the covers with you at night. She doesn't like to be alone and cries for the other kitties in her foster home or her foster parents if she finds herself alone. We recently moved a female teenager, Tara, into Tess's foster home. These girls have become good buddies and make a great pair. Tess hasn't been exposed to kids. She would do great in an adult-only home or a home with older kids. No young children or babies down the road.
Tess came into our care, along with her brothers, after their foster parents - long time SPCA volunteers - found them living under their shed. These kittens have no idea how lucky they are they were spotted outside before it got too cold outside!
