Adopt a Domestic Short Hair / Extra-Toes Cat (Hemingway Polydactyl) (short coat)

Maggie is a charming 9 year old lady who ended up in rescue after her owner moved into hospice care. She has very unusual markings -- black spots on her right side and all white on her left side. She also has extra toes on her front paws and is front declawed. Besides being a big, beautiful feline, she is incredibly loving and gentle, an affectionate lap cat. She will ask for your attention with her quirky, scratchy meow, which adds to her charm and character. She has done well with other gentle cats but was stressed out by a cat that bullied her in her last home. She would probably adjust well to a friendly dog. Maggie is currently fostered in Boulder.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!

• $250 for purebred/highly requested kittens (6 months & under)


• $150 for purebred/highly requested cats (older than 6 months)


• $150 for kittens (6 months & under)   


• $75 for cats (older than 6 months)   


• $35 for senior cats (8 years or older)
