~~Hi, my name is Katka! I’m a moderately energetic 6 year old black German Shepherd. My former family surrendered me when they fell upon hard times and could no longer care for me. I do know several commands including sit, halt, and speak. My foster Mom is working with me to learn the stay command and I’m excited! I love to fetch tennis balls and Frisbees and will bring them back to you, dropping them at your feet. My foster Mom does not crate me because I do very well with leaving things alone while she's away and I am completely housebroken.
Although it's not very ladylike to tell you this, I do have a condition called Mega-Colon. All I need is pumpkin with my meals to keep everything clear. I do enjoy running with the big dogs, but don’t care for smaller dogs or cats. I love meeting people of all ages, small or tall! I do know the heel command, but love to check out every nook and cranny in the neighborhood.
I can’t wait for my forever family to find me and take me home with them. My foster Mom says I am a wonderful pup and someone is going to be very happy with me.
