Cocker Spaniel (long coat) Dog

Little Boy the Dog needs a home

Meet Little Boy (Also known as Eli).  He is a 6-8 year old male Cocker Spaniel.  He was found walking down a road near Huntsville, Alabama. After efforts to find his owner were exhausted he has been with a foster Mom with FOR for 4 weeks now.  He was heavily matted and unkempt. After a bath and groom, he is super cute, and he will grow out some very pretty soft curls.  He is HW negative, up to date on vaccinations and has a new chip in place for identification.  He was neutered before coming in to rescue.

Little Boy has not been cat tested but he does well around other calm submissive dogs that won't smother or corner him.  L.B. has been child tested without any problems! L.B. Is not good aggressive nor does he bark.  He is 99% house trained.  There has only been one accident in a month's time of being in a new house with 4 other Cockers.  That's really good!  However
, he may be a bit hard of hearing.

L.B. prefers to sleep in bed right next to his adopter but will quietly curl up on a blanket in any room for a nap.  It appears as if he has not received much affection or he was trained to not ask or require it.  But, he will love a gentle massage and to lay close to you.  He wags his tail almost constantly now.  Such a happy little boy.  He loves going outside for a walk on a leash.

Little Boy will do best in a calm environment where he will continue to receive patience and lots of love.  In that environment he will continue to flourish and possibly for the first time in his life be truly cherished as a part of your family.  We look forward to your application!
