Blake – Our New Year’s Collection
Chocolate Male, 83lbs, 7 Years
Should Old Acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind! Because there’s a hand my trusty friend and give me a hand 0’thine … Oh, hi there! My name is Blake and all I can say is Happy New Years! I have been rescued and I’m looking for a forever home! 2018 Rocks! Won’t you celebrate it with me?
So, are you with me in saying “good riddance” to 2017? It was a year I found myself homeless, running with the Ruff Gang, on the back roads of Merced. I’ll tell you, I am not a dog that was meant to be homeless! I just don’t have the survival skills – there are no counters to surf, there are no wild bowls of kibble running around for me to catch, and there are absolutely no comfy, safe places to snuggle up for a nap. Plus, I am really, really, fond of humans! So, when the Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno sent in the superhero’s – the Defenders of Dogs – I gladly surrendered my life on the street for a chance at a life at your feet!
About me? Well, I am just a big, cuddly puppy at heart without the puppy problems! I love to return things to you that get away from you… I’ll make sure no tennis ball ever escapes your life again! Oh, and can we go for lots and lots of walks? While I don’t want to be out in the world on my own, I really love to see and smell it with you, so I can keep you safe on the leash. I won’t pull either, I don’t want to lose you once I find you! And I love learning new tricks – especially if they involve a treat! I am shedding my street-guy image and getting better and better at being a chunky-monkey, homebody, snuggle bunny! And, unlike puppies, I am good in my foster house, and only chew my banky when it’s time to sleep. See, I just know we are destined to meet! You, me, 2018! For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne.
Blake is available for adoption through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno. He is house trained, but does not care for the crate. He enjoys hanging out, walks, playing fetch and counter surfing, (what lab doesn’t? :-) ) and would like nothing better than to be man’s best friend. Blake’s current foster home does not have a cat so it is not known how he would react to a cat. If you would like to adopt this handsome boy and make the rest of his New Year’s Happy, please fill out an application at our website: https://www.LabRescueFresno.Org
If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped.
