Adopt a Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat)
AA-Caleb the Cat needs a home
Posted 5/28/13, and pictures updated 10/20/14. I received a call on 5/23/13, about three kittens at Weinerland across from TJC in Tyler. I found them under a shed behind the restaurant. They wouldn't come out, so I left a can of food, which was eaten very quickly. There didn't appear to be a mother. The next day I brought back a wire crate, twine attached to the door, put can food inside, and all three kittens went in right away to eat, and I pulled the door shut. I gave them all a bath, and they appear to have been handled before. A feral kitten would have fought me trying to hold or give a bath, and they did very well. They appeared to have some Chocolate in the Black fur when caught, which could indicate another breed than what is listed. Now this one is showing a Smoke color undercoat. One of the kittens weighed 1.2 pounds, which puts them at about 6 weeks old when found.
Caleb is the only one of the three that did not settle down and become very social. I can catch him and give him medicine, but he still runs from me, so he needs a home that is willing to work with him. He should start out in a small room like a bathroom where he can't hide.

Our adoption contracts prohibit declawing of any kittens or cats, it is cruel, can traumatize the pet, and make the pet defenseless if the pet should get outside. We encourage people to search for kittens and cats already declawed that need to find a new home.
$55 adoption fee will pay for his neuter and vaccinations.
