Adopt a Rottweiler (short coat)

Dusty is part of a bonded pair, with her brother Max (see profile for Max). They are searching for their forever home and must be adopted together.

They will NOT be adopted separately.

Although both young, Dusty and Max have grown up together and get along very well.  They love to play together and find comfort in each other's company. They were surrendered together to a shelter in Chesapeake VA, by their previous owner, who said he was moving and had no space for them.

Dusty is about 15 months old and weighs 95lbs. She is spayed, chipped and UTD on her shots. She's a very  healthy and energetic, athletic young girl.

She loves to run and needs a very large yard with a tall, secure, privacy fence to get her exercise. Not even 2, so she is still quite puppy like and needs plenty of exercise and engagement from her humans. She could fetch and play ball for hours! She also likes the water and loves to swim with a life vest. She's working on swimming with no life vest!

Although she needs very slow intros to new people, Dusty loves people she knows, especially her people, and cannot get enough attention. She gives and seeks attention & loves praise & being petted.  

Both Max and Dusty are house trained & crate trained. They love training and know several commands: sit, down, wait, stay, come, leave it,  crate,  and paw.

They both love going on car rides. They both love walking, although they are still working on leash manners, and require two walkers (one per dog) as they are strong and athletic. However they are very manageable on a leash and walk well.

Dusty and Max are hoping for a forever home with an experience rottweiler person (s).  They are looking for a home without kids, as they need slow intros to new people.  They are hoping to be the only fur kids in their new place. If you are local to the Hampton Roads, VA area a meet and greets with potential fur siblings can be arranged. They will need an adopter who will get them continued training to build on their amazing progress.
