Hi, I'm Cole a very playful and very people friendly American Staffordshire Terrier mix. I was one of many dogs rescued from a raid in El Rio. I'm grateful to be given a chance to know the true meaning of being a cherished member of a loving family. I'm affectionately known as the velvet hippo, Colie Polie and Big Poppa. As you can see, everybody loves me. I'm ok with some dogs in the playgroups at the kennel. You can watch me in action in the videos below.
I'm a personal favorite of one of the C.A.R.L. volunteers. He says I'm a brown "tank" with a cauliflower ear and a huge smile with twinkling eyes who loves a good rub down. When we're out on a walk he says I give him that smile, wag my tail and lie down and won't move until I'm ready to move on. He doesn't think I'm tired, just daring him to try and pick me up. He's never had any moment of trouble with me (who he calls a "Little Treasure") and he hopes you'll look beyond the surface and take me home forever. I hope you do too. We've been through a lot and I hope we all find our forever homes really soon.
