Are you looking for a nice, medium sized, brown dog to call your very own? Look no further! They're calling me the unsinkable Molly Brown because despite being surrendered by my previous owners, I keep a positive outlook. I'm a people dog. Enjoy following my foster family around the house, especially if anyone has a treat. I'm pretty attentive to begin with, and food only seals the deal. Though my foster family has told me that I'm part food hound, the shelter called me a lab mix.
I'm potty trained and I have the best tell in the whole world (according to my foster family) because I make sure EVERYONE knows when I need to go outside. It's my signature move - I start with a little whine and end, if necessary, with a light jump up - front paw push combo. No accidents here! There's a school-aged kid in my foster family and I like hanging out with him. He's had his moments, of course, and will occasionally, accidently bump into me or step on me or run through the house acting like a superhero. But I'm surprisingly tolerant of loud and clumsy little people. Since I'm 8 years old and he's only 6 years old, I figure I need to take the morale high ground and set a good example of tolerance and forgiveness.
There is also a very large, friendly but standoffish dog that's part of my foster family's household. While I wouldn't call us besties, we do get along fine. I'm not high maintenance in the canine companionship department. If someone wants to be friends, great, but if they don't, that's okay too. I'm not sure where I stand on having a cat as a roommate though. Lots more variables there, since I like to chase when things run.
Speaking of chasing, that leads to what I consider one of my finest traits...chasing squirrels away from the bird feeder and barking at strangers walking by the house. With my foster family's help, I'm learning to "quiet" on the barking part, but I swear to you right now that I will never give up defending my property from dastardly squirrels. NEVER!
So, that's all about me...what about you?
