Adopt a American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Hank the Dog needs a home
Sacramento- Hank came to us January 30th, 2016 from
CONTRA COSTA ANIMAL SERVICES
. He had lived his life as a guard dog and then his owner died. He went to the shelter which is super scary, because even though he was responsible for protecting his previous owner, Hank is blind. He is pretty lazy and laid back, he sometimes looks intense (I think it is because he is blind and trying to figure eve
rything out). He sees to see lights and shadows and gets around pretty well! He loves adults and kids and wants to snuggle all the time (except when he does zoomies in the back yard with his foster dad every day), but not a big fan of other dogs. They tend to scare him, and he can be annoying with cats so I would say only a home with dog-savvy cats. He is about 7 years old and hoping to find an awesome retirement home. I know, blind, black and bully - the trifecta of difficult dogs to place, but we hope you will share and help us find him a home!
ADOPTION FEE WAIVED! He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for a home of his own! You can find our process and apply online at:
