Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) Cat

Honey Bun the Cat needs a home

Meet Honey Bun! The sweetest kitty with a hopeful story. Her then future foster mom took her in after she witnessed Honey Bun being harassed verbally and physically by a man on the street. Her foster mom scooped her up right away and took her to the clinic at PAWS where she received medical care and won the staff’s hearts with her infectious purr. Honey Bun has taken beautifully to indoor life and is learning how to trust people again.

Honey Bun is approximately 2 years old and has the funniest white whiskers and a soft grey coat. Despite her sometimes grumpy face, she is always in the mood to flop on her back and show off that pink belly. She is spayed, microchipped, de-wormed, and up to date on all vaccines.

Honey Bun is currently working on her people skills with her foster mom and would benefit from a home with a patient and gentle person willing to help her improve. After all, for her first two years people were a danger to her and something to be feared. Happily, she is now comfortable sleeping on the bed and nuzzling, loves lounging and gazing out the window during the day, and playing with her toys. Because she is still learning how to adjust to adults, Honey Bun is not yet ready to be around children. She has not met any indoor cats yet, but could potentially live with them with a gradual introduction. She also doesn’t mind being picked up and held most of the time. Honey Bun has the perfect balance of affectionate and independent spirit.

By bringing Honey Bun home, you would be giving her story a happy ending: a warm and safe environment with a kind and loving person she can trust. Please consider meeting her and welcoming this sweet girl into your family.

Please do not hesitate to contact her foster mom with questions. And thank you for saving a life!
