Those huge agate eyes, that wistful, whiskered face, that striking, marbled coat of spotted stripes. Named Spidey, this miniature tiger wannabe could just as easily have been called Tigey. Rescued as a kitten from a colony of cats, he has grown and matured in the safe and reassuring surroundings of his foster home. Social Spidey loves to stretch across the top of the sofa, squeaking out a soft meow to alert his fosters to his presence until he gets what he wants: plenty of soft pets and gentle scratches. Active Spidey loves to chase string and play with toys, including fetch with his favorite jingle-mouse. Affable Spidey likes to play with the younger cats, but because he can “play rough” with the older ones, they prefer to keep their distance. Independent Spidey is still very much a free spirit, shying away if approached too quickly, startling easily and becoming submissive if he feels cornered. Animated Spidey especially enjoys feeding time, turning into “chatty kitty” as soon as a can of wet food is opened. Long on the prowl for a home of his own, Spidey the tigey is hoping his forever family will welcome him with love and patience and an opened can of wet food.

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.

All cats are vaccinated, dewormed, tested and altered as part of the adoption contract. This basic care (and other vet work required to make our rescues healthy) is included in the $85 adoption donation!
