Parker the Dog needs a home

Parker is an approximately 6 year old Spaniel/Terrier mix. He was rescued from the Iberia Parish animal shelter so that he would not be euthanized. Parker probably suffered some abuse at some point as he cowers when petted. But, he does enjoy affection. He loves kids and gets along with other dogs. He thinks he is an alpha at only 24 lbs. He would be best suited in a house with a yard, as he fears leashes. He is house broken. He was heartworm positive when we rescued him. But, he went through heartworm treatment via slow kill method, and he is now heartworm negative. He is neutered, microchipped and current on all his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $75.00.
