Nellie the Dog needs a home

Nellie had a rough start as a stray but due to being a shelter favorite she was pulled from death row and placed with our rescue. This petite girl is full of love with a submissive personality. She wiggles and can barely contain her excitement when her person walks through the door. Nellie is young (1.5 yrs) and her past has not given her much experience. She has recently completed training that has integrated her within a pack of dogs and given her more exposure to new people and places. She is gaining confidence and continues to grow each day! She loves to go for walks and does well on a leash. She is crate trained and rides nicely in the car. She wants to be wherever her people are and LOVES belly rubs.

Nellie has craved leadership her entire life and wants to please. Someone who can continue helping her understand the world and it’s amazing places while making her feel safe is a dream come true for this beautiful girl.

Dogs - Good with dogs that are not high energy and are well trained (for now)
Cats - probably not but not sure, I think eventually she will be good
Kids - depends on the kids and how young but I would say not little ones
