Leonard Skinnard the Dog needs a home
Leonard Skinnard is a very sweet and gentle boy. He likes nothing more then to be with his human at all times. Incredibly loving! Just a very cool dog. And look at that orange hair! So handsome.
Skinnard will require an experienced dog owner and home where someone can be home with him and be his loyal companion (velcro companion). He becomes very vocal and anxious when left. We believe he would benefit very much from basic obedience work with his forever family, to help with building his confidence and independence. He also needs an active home. He is an energetic boy and would enjoy long walks or hikes. Although cuddle time on the couch is his favorite!
Skinnard enjoys the company of other dogs but is not a dog for a home with multiple dogs (or pets). He would do best as an only dog or to have one dog buddy that is calm and well balanced. Not all dogs appreciate his excitable energy.
Skinnard does fine around children. It is best that any children would be older and calmer.
House manners are good but Skinnard does have a tendency to "mark". Having recently been neutered, his marking should improve. Belly bands are an easy and wonderful prevention.
** Being fostered in Blacksburg VA. Transportation is the responsibilty of the adopter. Leonard Skinnard is not a cadidate for air travel or ground transport. The adopter will need to come pick him up.
