Adopt a Domestic Long Hair (long coat)
Paddington the Cat needs a home
Paddington is aptly named as he is a lovable boy. The volunteer who found him said he just appeared at the end of winter, looking very forlorn with his coat all tangled. She took him in and vetted him, to discover that he had diabetes. In the following months, his insulin has been adjusted and he is down to 2 units/twice a day. His blood glucose is 117 so possibly his dosage will be adjusted downward again. He is easy to give his shots as he will come running -- all you have to do is say "It's time for your shot, Paddy." He doesn't mind at all because he knows he will then get 2 treats. Paddy is on regular grocery store canned food.
Paddington is fine with other cats but does appear to be frightened by dogs. He LOVES people, especially little kids. He also loves naps, eating, treats and watching birds and squirrels through the window.
Medical supplies and moral support for Paddy's care are courtesy of a wonderful organization called Diabetic Cats in Need (DCIN).
Paddington's adoption fee is sponsored by his current caregiver who is only giving him up because she has another cat with leukemia and it is not safe for Paddy to be exposed to that disease.
