Adopt a Australian Shepherd / Mixed
Thor the Dog needs a home
Great boy! Not an aggressive bone in his body. A little shy with men, not scared, tho. Just keeps a close eye on them. Very friendly with other dogs and women. Is a great puppy herder. An active family would be great of course. A young herding breed needs something to do to keep out of trouble. Not that I've had any from him at all! Loves other dogs and loves to play so other dogs or kids would be great. He's great with the 14 other dogs we have here now. All ages, breeds and sizes. He loves them.
He has to be lured into the crate by toys. He's fine when he gets in. No noise, settles in fast. Does very well and in no rush to get out.
He is not good on leash but better than he was when we got him. Was a total flopping fish. He doesn't chew anything or tear anything up, but we keep a lot of toys to occupy him and he delights in playing with other dogs. Really good by. Smart, even tho all he knows is "sit" but could be trained easily with a foster who can spend more time with him that I could. He is very attentive and hangs close to his "mom". We really enjoyed having him in our home!
Age: 2-3 years old
