Adopt a Labrador Retriever / Shepherd / Mixed (short coat)
Cameron Diaz the Dog needs a home
OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old.
Named after the actress, this long-legged beauty has a golden velveteen coat, and the most striking sea green eyes. Born with microphthalmia (small eyes) her vision is slightly impaired. This doesn't require her to have any medication either. A home with a strong, playful dog would be great for Cameron. Her foster family reports her impaired vision has given her no issues navigating around their home or backyard. She dutifully chases their dogs around the backyard with ease. She will sit for her food and is quickly learning how to walk on a leash with lots of positive reinforcement in the form of praise and treats. In every way, she is a typical active and happy puppy exploring the yard and galloping about the house searching for items to chew, wrestling with her foster brothers and finally napping. She loves toys and gathers them all under the kitchen table, her safe place, where she is entertained for long periods of time. She rotates between sleeping in the bed with her foster parents and the crate. At three months, Cameron is mostly house trained with frequent opportunities to go outside. We know mom is a small German Shepherd mix and dad was possibly a lab or Shar Pei mix. She will need a family willing to provide plenty of exercise, playtime, and lots of snuggles.
Female Lab / Shepherd / Shar Pei mix we estimate to be born around 10/29/2017.
PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org
SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one’s pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian.
