Sombra (Shadow in Spanish) has velvet black fur and orange eyes. He has a wounded tail - the tip is without fur and looks like he was injured as a kitten, but it doesn't bother or limit him physically.
Sombra came to his foster family as an extremely shy and timid kitten. He had a hard time even moving out from behind the furniture to eat or play with his foster brothers.
Over the past few months, he has grown to trust, snuggle and show affection to his foster mom and the children in the home. He is an independent kitty, but he welcomes love and he very playful.
Like many kitties up for adoption, he is sometimes unsure of people and doesn't like quick hand movements by his head and loud noises will send him hiding. He also does not like being put into a kennel, so allowing him to go in of his own accord is the best option.
He is totally litter box trained.
He has no knowledge of dogs, but may be adaptable with the right dog dynamic.
Sombra is a loving and sweet kitty who would thrive in a home with other kitties to play with. He is comfortable with children who have knowledge on how to be gentle and handle pets.
