Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)
Lola *Video* the Cat needs a home
Our Website is updated daily
Lola is UTD on vaccines, spayed and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. EDOB is Sept. 1, 2010.
Lola's a sweet, very affectionate little girl who may not be the cat for the first time cat owner. While she will shower you with affection, and loves to be with you and cuddle, she is a bit feisty. She loves to play, get brushed, and clipping nails is not a problem. You just need to be able to read her correctly. See, she learned to play rough with humans as a kitten, and now she doesn't know that we don't enjoy that. Verbal correction works just fine, and if you catch her right before, the correction works. Unlike the spoiled brat who nips when something is displeasing - Lola nips to show she's having fun, or to show affection when she gets overstimulated by a situation. Her foster mom is working on her manners.
This beautiful, silky soft torbi is very clean with her litter-box, but does like to dig a bit. To prove that she's clean, she washes her feet in her water bowl - cute! After a good round of playing, she loves to fall asleep in your arms - purring the whole time. She purrs and will greet you at the door - but will also flop on the floor in front of you while you're walking. You'll have to watch your step, as she doesn't understand it's not your fault if she gets stepped on.
Lola most likely will need to be an only pet. She won't let the dog of the house into the room she lives in. She's not happy with the other cats, either. She's a bit curious about them, but if they get too close to the door, she hisses terribly and they back away.
