Adopt a Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat)
Mimi the Dog needs a home
Mimi is an approximately 4 year old female chihuahua weighing 12.5 lbs. She was turned in as a stray to a shelter and no one claimed her. Because she was probably hit by a car, Mimi was having problems with her rear legs so the Yolo SPCA took her in and put her in a foster home. Mimi is an absolute darling! She does this adorable soft whimpering when she leans into you for attention. She begs to get in your lap and loves belly rubs. Even with her weak hind legs, she'll come running when you call her and she can run like the wind!!! Here is some video of her in action: http://youtu.be/FClUoH_OG5Y Mimi gets around fine but as you can see in the video, she sometimes stumbles a little. Mimi was seen by the UCD veterinary hospital who said she most likely had intervertebral disk disease (T3-L3 myelopathy). She can control her bodily functions unless she is crated for a long period of time and then she still tries to get outside to do her business before she has an accident. Mimi really just wants to snuggle and love someone!!! She gets along great with other dogs and everyone she meets. Will you adopt this poor slightly handicapped doggie and give her her forever home?
If this posting is up, this dog is still available!
