Tangy the Champagne Tiger and Tigress the Tortie the Cat needs a home

Brooklyn Animal Action pulled these impossibly adorable siblings from Animal Care and Control, where they had been surrendered by their owner. Despite being young, sweet, and super cute, it was likely that they’d be put down if a rescue didn’t get them out of the kill shelter. So of course we had to take them out of danger!

Both Tangy (champagne tabby, male) and Tigress (female tortie) are playful, friendly, and extra affectionate. They snuggle up together for sleeping time, but will also follow their humans everywhere, seeking attention while purring to show how happy they are.

Tigress has a low-grade heart murmur. An echocardiogram revealed she needs no treatment, just another cardiac follow-up in 9 to 12 months, which Brooklyn Animal Action will pay for. Both she and Tangy tested negative for FeLV/FIV and are up to date on vaccines. Tangy is neutered, and Tigress will be spayed when she’s 6 months old.
