Adopt a Domestic Short Hair

Domestic Short Hair Cat

Fiona the Cat needs a home

Finn, Felix, and I were trapped from a feral colony in Holly Springs and giving to fosters to socialize. I was about three months old at the time. They named me Fiona. My story is a little different from this point. Yes like my buddies I hissed when they tried to touch me, I ran when they fed me, and I tried to hide when they cleaned the litter box. Yes hiding was hard to do in a big dog crate, but ineffective hiding wasn’t enough for me and I climbed the gage and tried to squeeze through the holes. When they first put us in the cage I did squeeze out twice until they modified the cage. Yes, I like and being fed and cared for but I still can’t seem to come to trust these big creatures the way Finn and Felix and the other kitties do. I don’t spit and hiss anymore and I don’t run when they come near, but I still keep my distance. They eventually let us out of the cage into a room with other kitties slightly older than Felix and I but younger than Finn. I like and play with these kitties. I also like and play with strings, dangling things, balls, and especially the red dot. I see Finn, Felix and the other kitties purring while being rubbed and petted by the big people and I think that I would like that too. But I just can’t. Not yet.

P.S. Fiona is a small beautiful mostly white calico with grey and orange marking on and around her ears and tail. She will have to go to a home with patient loving people preferably with experience with timid cats.
