Adopt a Border Collie / Mixed (long coat)
SHIR the Dog needs a home
Hi, my name is Shir and I am looking for a new family.
I was born on 25 Dec 2013 and came into the nowzad shelter when an Afghan lady came across me and my siblings in the street and saw that our mom had died. We were only a few days old and there was no chance of surviving on the streets without our mom but thankfully the nowzad shelter took us in.
As we were so young when we came in we had to be hand reared by the shelter staff. Some of my siblings have found new homes in the USA and the UK and I am now looking for that special family of my own.
I am a large breed dog and have high energy levels so will need an active family. I love being around people but will need some work on my manners as I get very excited at times.
I can walk on a leash, I am not housetrained as I have lived all my life in the shelter but I learn quickly and am very intelligent.
I am fine with other dogs but prefer female dogs to male dogs. I have not been tested with cats.
I am neutered and have no known health issues.
‘This companion animal is currently in the Nowzad shelter in Kabul, Afghanistan. If you are interested in adopting, then the Nowzad charity will supply you with video and photographs and should the adoption go ahead will fundraise and arrange the transport for this companion animal to come to your home’.
