Chino the Dog needs a home
Chino sure has alot of video from his time at the shelter! This boy wasted no time stealing the hearts of the staff and volunteers at ACCT Philly, so when he was timestamped for euthanasia, they joined together to fight for his life! Chino was found stray with wounds on his shoulder. The good samaritan finder had him vetted to make sure he would be healthy enough to wait out his stray hold, hoping his family would come for him. That never happened. 
Chino spent the next
month sitting in a kennel, missing his family and wondering why they never came. He passed all of his behavioral testing and vet check, so he was available for adoption! Every day he sat there watching people come and go, some leaving with other dogs. His turn just wasn’t coming. 
The stress of the kennel environment started to change him. He was becoming tense and nervous, he was deteriorating mentally. An end time was placed on his life, and the only way he would be able to take another breath was a foster or adopter opening their home to him. One of our amazing fosters was heartbroken and stepped up so Chino could have this second chance to live!!!

Chino is looking for a fur-ever family that is willing to go slow with him and help him overcome his separation anxiety. This poor guy has been through so much and he will be extra appreciative to the family that can help put his mind at ease. He had a brief dog meet at the shelter with a pretty little lady (video below) where he was non reactive even with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Chino is still working on his training and manners and appears to be food motivated (he loves cat food). He is 3 yrs old, 62lbs of cutie, fixed/chipped/and UTD on vaccines. We are still trying to get to know this boy since he is a new addition to NARPS, if you would like to meet him, please fill out our application!
