Meet Petey! This 2-year-old beauty has done wonderfully in his foster home. He has opened up to trust and love the family and is ready to find the right forever family. This boy has gained confidence, likes to go on hikes, and will need a family that can take it slow with him to give him time to adjust to his new home and trust and bond with you. This boy can scale a chain link fence so he will need a secure yard with other fencing or a wall. True to his Border Collie breed, he is energetic and will need daily exercise and/or playtime. Petey is house-trained, crate-trained, dog-friendly, and cat-friendly. He can be trusted to be left in the house by himself, and he has the perfect balance of being active when you want him to be outside while also understanding that he should calm inside the house. He is a wonderful running partner and is an equally excellent cuddle partner. We recommend no small children and his foster family is willing to work with his new family to aid in the transition if needed. He feels confident being near his people and likes to share the bed with his foster mom! He is truly a gentle soul. This sweet boy deserves a loving family where he can be a happy-go-lucky dog and live the good life.
