Juliette the Dog needs a home
Juliette is a sweet girl who is learning what it means to be loved by people. She took about a week to let us pet her, cowering in her crate or hiding behind Pops, who was rescued at the same time. Once she trusts you, she will roll over onto her back and let you rub her belly…her most favorite thing to do! Independently, she’ll chew bones and toys but again, she’ll only play with you after she trusts you. Loud sounds and voices scare her, she prefers quiet and calm. The leash is something that she fears more than anything. You can put one on her but if it is any material besides chain, she’ll chew it off in a matter of minutes. Because of this, we have not been able to go for walks. She loves to run around the backyard, but when the leash goes on, she becomes rigid. We're working on it and most dogs eventually get the hang of the leash so we're optimistic. Juliette would do best in a home with another dog to show her the ropes, play with her, and help build her confidence. She will flourish with people who are kind and patient, as well as home often to help her transition from street dog to family dog.
