Domestic Short Hair / Mixed Cat

Snow C2066 the Cat needs a home

Snow is a snuggly darling with a very soft and shiny coat with an estimated birthday of November 2015. She loves to be held and wins even dog-people over with her fun, charismatic personality and sweet meow. She may have a little dog in her because she plays fetch, likes her belly rubbed and will greet strangers at the door. Snow is very playful and will play for long stretches between catnaps. Although she can entertain herself, she would do best in a home with activity and a favorite human or animal to play with. She’s done well with the children she’s met and although she doesn’t live with another animal now, her open personality and playful attitude would likely make her a good candidate to live with a dog or another young cat. The staff at the shelter said she did fine when exposed to other cats. She uses her litter box and scratching post perfectly.

Snow was found under a porch after having giving birth to three kittens. Sometime during her adventures as a stray, she contracted FIV. FIV is an immune deficiency virus. It can only be spread to other cats by a deep bite wound and cannot be spread to dogs or humans. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives with no additional medical care. However the life span of a cat with FIV can be shorter than one without since they have a reduced ability to fight off other infections. Snow’s forever home should be a happy, low-stress place with people who can give her lots of TLC so she can live the best life possible. If you think your home is that place, please fill out an application so a meeting can be arranged.
