Additional Information: Paulie is a handsome grey Tabby kitty that thinks he's a puppy. He loves to play enthusiastically with his toys, (especially feathers on a stick) and like a dog enjoys sleeping at the foot of the bed. He also wants to snuggle and groom his foster's other resident cats (although he is a bit skittish and submissive when they are more interested in rough and tumble activities, at which point he'll run away). Despite that, Paulie would do well in a house with other cats as long as he's given a proper introduction to them so he can overcome his initial nervousness.

Paulie's also independent and is good about making it clear when he wants his alone time. He has no interest in scratching furniture, but really enjoys running his claws on scratchers and posts. He'll be a great addition to any family!

City Dogs Rescue is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our animals (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Our cat adoption fee is $150 unless noted. Prior to arrival, all of our cats are spayed/neutered (unless specified) and given shots for Rabies, FVRCP, and Feline leukemia. They are microchipped and tested for FIV and FeLV. They are dewormed at least twice and given a health check by the vet.

We do our best to disclose all health records and known health conditions to adopters. Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations and health tests, but does not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR & CK.  City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
