Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Sosa the Cat needs a home
We welcome specific questions. Due to high volume of applications, we may not be able to respond immediately. Your patience is appreciated.
If an animal is on our website, it is still available but might have other applicants. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it is in your best interest to submit an application immediately. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process.
We do not schedule meetings until you have an approved application.
As an all-volunteer, foster home based organization, ARF does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. The majority of our dogs and cats are brought to adoption events by our volunteers. We invite everyone to come to our events, but we must give priority to pre-approved applicants.
Male, neutered, about 1 year old (as of February 2018), microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, currently in a foster home, will be making appearances at ARF Adoption Events (see http://www.arf-il.org/events.html or https://www.facebook.com/A.R.F.Illinois for times and locations), adoption fee $110.
Sosa is a foster favorite! He is a gregarious, social, and affectionate guy with the cutest “cow” spots! He came to ARF from an animal control in Central Illinois as a stray, and he can’t wait to find a loving home where he can be a part of a family. Sosa absolutely loves to be in the middle of everything! Sosa is very active and likes to explore the house, yet he is laidback and relaxed. However, Sosa's first love is to be around his favorite people! He is constantly purring and looking for love, and is happy to sit next to you getting affection! Sosa loves to be around other cats. He lets off a calm and friendly vibe that has helped him become friends with all of the cats in his foster home. Sosa also gets along well with dogs.
If you are interested in meeting Sosa, you can fill out an online adoption application at http://www.arf-il.org/application.html Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting with the cat. Filling out the application does not obligate you in any way.
