Let me tell you about my wonderful foster Scooby...
First thing is he has early kidney disease. With proper diet and love he could live many wonderful years.He is a Pomeranian/American Eskimo mix. He is around 8 yrs old and 14 lbs

He does wear a belly band in the house due to the fact he does need to urinate more...part of his kidney disease. He will bark to let you know he does need to go out.
When he first came out of the shelter, he had severe dental problems which made him cranky. Now that all that has been taken care of he is a totally different dog
He gets along with all dogs and cats
He would do best in a home without small children, since he does NOT like to be picked up.
He is highly food motivated
Not interested in toys
Does not chew
Only barks to go out, but not a barker.
Is crate trained, but he is free roaming in the house since he never gets into anything
Loves to go on walks
He is a low to moderate energy level, most times you will find him napping on his bed
I get it most people are hesitant to adopt a dog with a medical history. Scooby has come so far from that terrified dog from the shelter, who yes showed his fear and pain with nips. He now actively seeks love and pets.
I know what his dislikes are and respect that...which has made him such a great little dog. I know there is someone out there who can see beyond his past and see the sweet boy now.
Scooby is available through Looking Glass Animal Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We require an adoption application, reference checks and home visit. A tax-deductible adoption fee is required.
