It is absolutely devastating for us to rehome our cats, but unfortunately we had a son born in May who has bad asthma. We have and are currently trying all treatment options available and it's to the point where his doctors think that the cats are affecting his breathing. We are unable to do allergy testing until he is 18 months old, but the doctors think it is in our sons best interest to try and find our precious cats a new loving home. I really want them to stay together as they have been together for several years. They are both very sweet cats but can be timid at first. They are strictly indoor cats. We would love an "open" adoption where we could check in and keep updated with them and their new family. The last thing we want is for someone to adopt them both and the situation not work out well and for them to get taken to a pound. If that were the case we would prefer to take them back to our home and work on finding them another home. They are part of our family and it breaks my heart to even have to do this, but our sons health is important and we have tried all available medical options to keep our cats in our home.
